I have been giving students interested in I/O psychology an article from a
recent issue (probably late 1998 or 1999) of _The Industrial/Organizational
Psychologist_ written by Rentsch, J. R. (Wright State U.), Lowenberg, G. (U of
Wisconsing-Parkside), Barnes-Farrell, J. (U. of Connecticut) and Menard, D.
(Wright State). The article is titled "Report on the Suveys of Graduate
Progams in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Organizational
Behavior/Human Resources", pp 49-68. Unfortunately, my xeroxed copy of the
article does not show the year of publication nor the volume number.

Among other things, the article compares programs in psych. depts., vs.
programs in management depts. on admissions and other criteria. It cites a
publication of the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychologists titled
"Graduate Training Programs in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Related
Fields" that sounds like it would also be very helpful to prospective students.

You might want to contact division 14 for more info.
