Some time ago (maybe 5 or 6 years) I read something to the effect that
college education does not have much, if any, effect on scores between SAT
and GRE.  I DO have a reference which may SUPPORT this claim (sorry), but
it may take a little elbow grease to get to it.  You've got me inspired to
haul out those file boxes in the back of the closet!  It was some very
intriguing research which discussed the issue that it wasn't the greatness
of the institution which produced outstanding graduates, but the extent to
which the institution only admitted outstanding students in the first
place.  I will see what I can extract from the file box in the closet and
get back to you.
