Yes, I have it on good source that Hebb's work intertwined with both of the
Milners from the 1950's to the time of his death. Brenda Milner was a PhD
Student of Hebb's (mid-1950's - right hemispheric function). . . and Hebb
was active in the direction of the brain stimulation and learning studies of
Jim Olds and Peter Milner (leading to serendipitous discovery of hypothalamic
pleasure centers and self-stimulation). Peter Milner was a faculty member at
McGill during Hebb's chairmanship of the department. Brenda Milner's
appointment was at the nearby Montreal Neurological Institute, but she also
supervised the doctoral studies of psychology students including Doreen
Kimura and Phil Corsi.
