Hi
I always suggest to students that they first summarize material
in point form and then do their writing from that. It would be
possible, although I haven't done it, to require the point-form
summaries to be handed in as well. This could work reasonably
well when there is only 1-2 articles being summarized, but might
become more unwieldy for greater number of works.
