TIPSters:
Still preparing my first foray into teaching an undergrad psych-law class,
and I'm trying to compile a brief list of the most influential court cases
related to psychology. I want to include cases affecting practice (e.g.,
Tarasoff), testimony (e.g., Daubert), and perhaps those reflecting some
psychological principle. It would help me if any of you with some knowledge
in this area would suggest some of the more notable ones (my ultimate aim
is for students to use WestLaw or Lexis/Nexis to look up the decisions and
commentaries and write short summaries/papers on them). Please include the
year if possible.
Thanks in advance.
