TIPSters,

As many of you know, I am involved with the development of a psychology
website for the
WebCT corporation. Though our site is far from where it will be for the
Fall classes, I have
decided to routinely distribute various information about the site on
TIPS for those that may wish
to consider using the site for their own development and for possible
use with your classes. So please
feel free to visit the site and let me know what types of additional
content you can use for yourself and
your courses.

Best wishes,

Bill

ps. A fully searchable TIPS archives will be appearing on the WebCT
site this summer that will allow you
to do a keyword search of the entire TIPS archives since June 1992.

pss. As always, this website is a free site for everyone to use and
does not require you to use the WebCT software.

WebCT's Psychology Community
Psychology at a Glance
May 15, 2000

Here's what's new this week in WebCT's Psychology Community!
http://www.webct.com/psychology/home

Check out these new articles, featured in the Psychology Library!

***Recovered memories and therapies based on them have been
controversial topics in the mental
health profession. There is widespread doubt about the validity of these
recovered memories,
however, and questions as to whether such memories may be "planted" by
therapists in their
patients' minds. Dreams take us to strange places and place us in
impossible situations.
Sometimes they look like our everyday life; sometimes they resemble an
episode of X-Files.

***You're getting sleepy, very sleepy. Actually, if you're like most
Americans, you're already
sleepy--getting less than the eight hours of sleep a night experts
recommend for adults.

New Forum: How can I use WebCT.com in my class?

This discussion forum is a venue for sharing your insights and
experiences using the resources in the
Psychology Community at WebCT.com. Professors, tell us your teaching
styles and best practices.
Students: have you used our resources to write a paper or get an answer
to a question? Share
your thoughts.

See WebCT's exciting new tutorial site called Human Brain Structures
developed by Connie
Varnhagan, one of our forum moderators. This online study guide with
excellent graphics is
designed to aid in understanding the complex internal anatomy of the
human brain.
