Hello, TIPSters. I'm teaching Honors Intro Psych to ten freshmen and
sophomores this semester, only one of whom has listed psychology as his
intended major. I decided to dispense with a textbook and take a primary
sources approach to the course, a decision which I hope I don't regret. I am
using the readings collection Sources: Notable Selections in Psychology and
intend to supplement it with other articles.

I'm having trouble generating a coherent organization and deciding on course
requirement. I know I want them to do a lot of reading, thinking, and
writing, and very little test-taking. I've looked at Ruth Ault's upper-level
Issues in Psychology syllabus as well as all of the Introductory Psychology
syllabi available through the Office of Teaching Resources in Psychology,
and none of them quite "click" with what I need. Can you help? Especially if
you've taught Intro with mainly primary sources or without any exams I'd
love to hear from you.

Thanks,

Nathalie
