I am considering switching from an intro text which, like many others begins
the chapters with some kind of story, to a text that has a more
philosophical introduction....generally pointing out the significance of the
material in the chapter. To be particular, I am currently using Santrock's
Brief Edition, but might adopt the new Meyers Exploring Psychology. Two
students were impressed with Meyers, but said they would miss the story
format of Santrock. I am in a bit of a quandry as to what to do.
I'd love to hear from others on the list regarding this issue.
