My department has a research methods/laboratory course for each of the
five areas of our undergraduate curriculum. These are capstone courses
with seniors as the primary audience. There are excellent, well-known
texts for research methods in most of the areas (perception/learning,
psychobiology, social, developmental) but we're having difficulty
finding a appropriate book for personality/clinical. Each of these
courses covers the methods and procedures characteristic of the area,
involves some data collection and analysis. We're looking for
something comparable to Aaronson's book for social, or the Kantowitz
et al book for traditional experimental psych. Any suggestions would
be appreciated.
