Along the same lines,there seems to the thinking that the term
"overcoming" may not be realistic and adaptable.In some cases,the term
"managing" may be more functional.For example,it may be best to tell
prejudiced and bigoted folks that they should learn to manage their
prejudices . Hence if one is anti-semitic or anti-black,managing those
feelings and cognitions would be a desirable and workable.
