Annette wrote " I'm a ............ very sad Olympics fan in general because the frantic watching of all those taped hours and hours of curling and hockey and skating of all kinds, skiing and sledding, are all coming to an end until 2 weeks in four years."
My response is different, Annette. I am experiencing waves of relief that my marriage has weathered yet another of those excruciating biannual tests of the relationship. I have had to put up with 2 weeks of my wife overturning the natura order by hijacking the remote control to watch endless hours of various arcane sports that she would never bother to watch at other times. And she has had to endure 2 weeks of my incessant begging, pleading and whining. But we have survived yet another Olympics with sanity restored and the remote comtrol returned to the masculine hands where it rightfully belongs!! <g> Mandatory psychology content: Consider this a comment on the modern nature of gender roles.
