We are all familiar with the perceptual phenomena of after images-a situation
where focusing on one color and shifting to a blank surface, one sees the
complementary.
Do we have evidence that after dreaming or waking up from a dream that one
perceives after images associated with dream elements?
Would this be a concern for those interested in lucid dreaming? And if after
images were possible would this give more credibility to activation-synthesis
theory ?
My speculation is that after images of colors in the dream state may not be
possible because dreams are cerebral events whereas after images require a more
in-depth sensory-ocular activities. But do not quote me on this.

Like a complete unknown.
