This is why I think the real future is smart boards, especially when the price 
comes down.

Nonsense. Try writing out a mathematical formula, piece by piece,  
discussing each bit interactively with the students, on a powerpoint 
slide. Try underlining or circling particular parts to emphasize points 
in a spontaneous discussion in the class. Powerpoint (for all of its 
other advantages) presumes that teaching is something that comes in 
pre-planned packages, not something that happens in not wholly 
predictable ways, with differences among particular people and 
particular groups.

No, but a blackboard is great for learning (no prefix necessary). :-)
