I use the OPL but you cannot modify those programs to the best of my knowledge.
I do have students add a variable, such as participant variables, or ambient
variables, such as noise, lighting, time of day, etc.

I also let students design studies with powerpoint, but then you can only get
accuracy and not RTs.

I have yet to find a program that is relatively easy to program and use, for
students.

I would recommend looking at the FREE Online Psychology Lab at the Education
Directorate site at APA. Some great peer-reviewed studies. (don't have the URL
with me)

Dear Colleagues,
What would you recommend these days in terms of a computer program
which students in a research methods class could use to design and
run experiments? I'm looking for a fairly "simple" program in which
one or two variables can be manipulated and responses and response
times can be recorded. Something for which I can get a site license.
Thanks in advance for your input.
