Has anyone worked/consulted for iphone or other software app developers? I
would think that psychologists could offer a lot of new ideas for possible
games and apps for smartphones or the new note-pads. Of course we could offer
a lot of new apps dealing with brain-strengthening exercises to reduce
cognitive decline ;-) Well, we could probably develop a lot of other ideas too
such as apps on critical thinking and evaluating risk, understanding
probability, and general psych apps exploring the difference between
fascinating research findings in psych and popular myths/misconceptions, etc.
Or an app on how to choose and assess therapists? Or an app to do some
walk-around social psych observations and examine some social psych principles
in action? The psych apps I've seen so far for smartphones and such have been
borrrring and not very interactive. Any tipsters have experience in this area?
I suppose it shows that I am in the last week of classes and looking forward
to spring/summer? Gary
