Tipsters posting vacancy announcements should send copies to the Chairpersons 
of the historically black institutions also.
This is my personal take on hiring an applicant:
- do not hire anyone whose husband or wife already has a full time job
-if the person is black or ambulatory challenged "go for it"
-avoid hiring anyone whose first and last name begin with the same letter of 
the alphabet
- if the applicant is internationally raised,make sure that you get a taped 
sample of speech.
American students have a penchant for complainin-g about the accents of foreign 
faculty
- avoid hiring someone with a pillar of publications: there are too many prima 
donnas going around
-Canadian applicants should pass the health care test.
