Hi Rob- I used to teach in Vancouver Canada where fewer than 50% of the population spoke English at home. I would occasionally get requests similar to yours. My response was always in the negative for two reasons: 1. Once you start down that slippery slope where do you stop? Extra credit for ADHD learners? Bonus points if you can show that you have a low IQ? 2. If the students isn't going to learn how to successfully communicate in my class in whose class will they learn? Stay strong & keep your standards high. They will (eventually) thank you for it.
