Dear Tipsters: (Sorry for cross posting with Psychteach; it will probably show up here first anyway.)
A former student who graduated from our undergraduate program who was voted as one of our outstanding graduating seniors by our faculty is now in the Navy and will be here in San Diego until May, when she is being transferred to Tampa (at least that is now 95% certain--never 100% I guess with the military). If any of you have connections in Tampa I'd be interested in hooking her up in someone's research lab--or at least finding someone to mentor some ideas she has of her own. She is very committed to wanting to go to grad school for clinical in 3 years when she finishes her military service and she is very bright and hard working but at times is unavailable. This has made it nearly impossible for her to find a regular research assistant position. Sadly, because she is really bright and hard working when she is in town which is MUCH of the time, it's not all of the time. So, bottom line, if any of you are in or very near Tampa and would be interested in talking to her, please contact me back-channel for her contact information.
