Has anyone been following tje recent discovery that a child's probability of
developing autism is dependent on that child's birth proximity to the older
adjacent sibling? For example, parents who give birth within 18 months after a
previous birth are more
likely to have that child develop autism. The insufficiency of folic acid is
viewed as the culprit. It is recommended that parents should space births in
such a way to allow for the accummulation of folic acid for the encrouching
neonate.
