Hi Patrick, Honestly, I think the candidates should do their homework about your dept. and shouldn't be expecting you to provide (all of the) information. Perhaps be prepared to answer questions that aren't readily available on your dept's or institution's websites. For example, questions about start-up funding for a lab (if yours is a research-oriented department), whether there might be a lighter teaching load the first semester (or even the first year) to allow a research program to get off the ground, and opportunities to develop new courses or to teach courses that weren't specified in the job ad. Maybe also a question about where you see your department going in the next 5 years or so. What an interesting thread. I'm curious about what others will offer! Julie
