This is a fairly new issue and it is likely that standards have changed in the
10 years between the last accreditation self-study and the next one. We work
with the Higher Learning Commission (formerly known as North Central) and I
believe they also would have problems with a policy that excluded credit for
all online classes. I would assume that colleges that don't accept credit for
online classes must not teach any online classes at their institution.

I assume that you are referring to the Middle States Commission on Higher
Education. As it turns out, I have verified through a call to the Registar's
office of one of these accredited institutional members that they never have
accepted transfer of credit for online courses, currently don't, but "may"
reconsider this policy in the future.

It is my understanding the Middle States will not allow its members to have a
policy of rejecting online courses. Member schools may of course scrutinize any
courses a student would like to transfer, but that a course was taught online
is not sufficient justification for rejecting it.
