Or, maybe smaller schools could just advertise that all of their avatars are
controlled by live human beings (not the Watson-type computer suggested in
the article).  I've used Second Life a little for classes.  The cartoon/game
look is off putting to some and the increased level of realism suggested in
the article would be a plus.  I do think, when you get comfortable with the
interface, that it is already a more viable interface than the Hollywood
Squares look of video conference calls.  I've only used it for small (10-15)
grad classes.
