So far Rome has not been destroyed. In other news, I did a Google search
on news.google.com and found a number of news stories about the impending
destruction of the world that is supposed to start on May 21 and end Oct 21.
Here is one such story from the Florida newspaper "Orlando-Sentinel":
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/fl-end-time-may-21-20110510,0,6824788.story

There even a countdown clock that appears on the page after a while.
If anyone wants to replicate Festinger, Riecker, and Schachter, you best
get started. There's a facebook page and related sources and one
can use to hook up with the current crop of end-timers.

P.S. Anyone's Spring semester continue after May 21? What will you
do if a student asks "I believe that the world will end on May 21, do I
still have to come to class?" Note that in the article above a medical
student from Nova Southeastern University gave up an internship
because he believes its the end of the world.
