Well, if you're inside the house when it collapses, the point become
moot (yes, I know moot means "subject to debate" and not irrelevant
as implied here but hey don't you have some papers to grade?).
If you're outside of the house, check to see if there are people
ascending to heaven, in which case, if you're earthbound, you're SOL.
If there are no ascending figures, well, it'll just be another day in
paradise, eh? :-)

But, y'know, a little zombie repellent would be helpful, such as:

If you're a member of NRA, then you probably have the zombie
repellent issue covered. For folks who aren't members of NRA,
see any of the Resident Evil movies for effective zombie repellents
and how to use them.

You should check out the following:
http://www.amazon.com/American-ARCFR160R-Microlink-Self-Powered-Flashlight/dp/B001QTXKCE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1306174825&sr=8-1
It's Red Cross approved, is powered by battery, a small solar panel, and
a hand crack and has a flash light, radio and can power a cell phone
(USB connection). I have one as well as some other emergency supplies.
I'm less worried about terrorist attacks then other events in NYC.
For example, I've lived through the major blackouts (i.e., 1965, 1977,
and 2003) and several minor blackouts. So when the Zombie Apocalypse
comes, I think most New Yorkers will be able to take it in stride even
though Mayor Mike Bloomberg doesn't condone the use of zombie
repellent. ;-)
