There's an article in the LA Times about the failure of
colleges and universities to prepare students for dealing
with the real world especially in a bad economy that is
likely to last years.  There are two authors to the article,
of which is an NYU faculty person that I do not know.

Bottom Line: it appears that authors have the fanciful idea
that college/university should be for teaching and learning
instead of grant getting and keeping the students happy.
