My recollection is that War of the Worlds was an exercise in understanding
the dynamics involved in the psychology of rumour.Remember the class
experiment where if one tells a story to student in the first row in the
classroom and asked to pass the story down to the adjacent student.;then by
the time reaches the last student in the class,the story has gone through
radical changes? The processes involved in the rumour transmission were
levelling,sharpening,and personal biases,
Can someone help me on this?
