When I was a grad at Mizzou Bob Boice,Anita Settle,Jack Rosenkoetter,Carrol
Hughes,and myself assisted him in some experiments with wild rats that we
caught at a dump in Brooksville,Mo.
The experiments were the basis of Robert Boice's article on DOMESTICATION
where he postulated that learning could be unnatural.
Although the domestic rats appeared to be advantageous in pro-social
behaviors,the wilds appeared superior in dominance in an underwater tunnel
competition.
