Ed:
You are not the only one who purport to be an animal behavior expert.
I am just as qualified as you are in tnis area, despite the essence of my
posts.Same sex bonding is not confined to animal behavior. There are many human
cultures where same sex bonding exists but does not mean same sex sexual
intercourse.I am skeptical of those who argue for a genetic basis of
homosexuality based on animal studies.
Many factors can contribute to animals forming a bond or pairing-
sounds, pheronomes, and conditioning and these can be of survival implications.
U.S culture has a penchant for seeing sexuality in places where it not meant
to be.As the cross-cultural dude on Tips I note that in the Middle East male
bonding is very significant.A few tears ago,I hosted
two guys who were in the Israeli army and there was really a strong
bond betweem those Israelis.I have not find such a level of bonding
in the other nationalities that I have hosted.
Hope this helps.
