While "Bloomsday" does refer to a literary work (*Ulysses)*, I think it
might be pertinent to psychology, in that James Joyce is given credit as
being one of the first to use "stream of consciousness" in his writing.
(Chekhov and T.S. Eliot were also early employers of this method.)

June 16th, 1904, is the day that the fictional Leopold Bloom wanders around
Dublin.  It's celebrated in Dublin, as every stop mentioned in the novel is
noted and other celebrations are held.  (Perhaps a wee pint or two of
Guinness might be raised here and there, in Joyce's honor.)
