But what if I "know in my gut" that Lisa J. Miller is wrong?

JC:

Then you are simply showing the Eurocentric Fallacy (a term I just made up ...
I'm torn between Fallacy and Syndrome). The Eurocentric Fallacy encompasses a
variety of symptoms, including denial of the validity of ways of knowing that
do not fit the hegemonic rationalism and scientism promoted by (typically)
white males of older generations, repression of truths achieved by intuition
and sensitivity to the mystical energies that pervade the cosmos, a denial of
planes of existence other than the material, and suppression of the truly
liberating ideas that flow from an openness to exotic thinking styles
characteristic of the Other. People under the hold of the Eurocentric Fallacy
/ Syndrome, are closed to the eternal truths that come to us in ways other than
reason and empiricism.

Does that clear it up?

Take care
Jim
