APA was taken over by the clinicians years ago. Occasionally some enthusiastic 
researcher outs his it her name on the ballot, but unless they are stupendously 
famous, they never win. Many of the candidates now don't even have university 
affiliations. I am still a member, mainly for the tiny history division, but I 
don't much vote for pres anymore.
