Googling "Salma Hayek cover" brings up a link to the current issue of More
magazine with a story on Selma
Hayek<http://www.more.com/entertainment/celebrities-movies-tv-music/salma-hayek-makes-waves>
where she says, ""I've worked hard for everything I have." Regardless of the
truth of the statement, locus of control research would indicate that believing
it is probably associated with success and the causality arrows probably point
both ways: the internal locus of control supports success and success produces
an internal locus of control.

I couldn't bring myself to read the entire chatty article but I did skip around
enough to find that she was born in Mexico to an opera singer and a
Lebanese-Mexican businessman. Also, as to the beauty part, if you can get
through even a little bit of the article I think you will understand that her
point of view is that her beauty was not something that was given but was
achieved (and continues to be maintained) through effort, if you know what I
mean.

I don't believe so :)

And, truth be told, I didn't read the whole article either. I suppose I should
- perhaps she does admit to getting some help from others or to have been lucky
enough to be born beautiful somewhere in the article. All right - I'll do my
homework and actually read the article and let everyone know.
