Well, my husband, a non-radiologist but retired orthopedic surgeon saw it right away. He's good with X-rays, even those not of bones, and carefully studied the X-ray for about 10 seconds and said, "What's with the little gorilla on top?" So perhaps he would have been an outlier in the original study of non-radiologists. He was VERY skeptical of the numbers for radiologists and non-radiologists when I told him about the study.
