I talk about tetrachromats in sensation and perception, but never the
mantis shrimp.
I believe I'm out of posts for the day, but another one of my colleagues
brought something else to my attention that I wanted to share before I go.
I don't know how many of you own the *Pop-Up Book of Phobias* by Gary
Greenberg, but it sells for upwards of $450 on Amazon (I paid 24.95 for my
copy some time ago and I am now quite pleased with my investment). I'll
probably think twice about carrying it to class on a rainy day. Greenberg,
in addition to being a stand-up comedian, is the author of several other
books, for example, *Self-Helpless*, and he advertises a (not real) book
called *Ventriloquism for Dummies*. Here's his link:
