Webster is wrong. Paul is right. Eulogies are a part of the Protestant tradition, not the Catholic. And a strict Catholic person could easily be as put out by an interview question about eulogies as a Jewish person might be with a question about, say, "Sunday school." You've simply stumbled over a religious distinction that you were not aware of of, Louis. Just apologize and move on.
