To all who are celebrating Thanksgiving this day (and you know who you are), a hearty "Happy Birdday!" If the holiday of Thanksgiving is not observed where you are, well, look at this as an opportunity to reflect upon all of thing that you should be thankful for, ya ungrateful wretch. ;-)
And though today is a holiday where I am, after the Macy's commercial, er, parade was over, I decided to check out the news online. Now, I admit that I rarely if ever play video games and don't know the difference between a playstation (PSP) and an Xbox (though I am learning some stuff with the recent episodes of "South Park"). I don't really know what these systems are capable of but a news item about the PSP left me wondering WTF!?! Apparently, there is a new feature on the PSP that allows one to televise one's activities in front of the PSP, presumably in order to "enhance" one's experience with it. ****I bet a number of you can predict what some gamers have done to enhance the experience***** Anyway, as reported in the NY Daily News, if you are a married couple, it seems like a good idea NOT to get drunk in front of your PSP and then strip your wife naked when she passes out, at least when the televise function is on; see: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/husband-ps4-stream-naked-passed-wife-article-1.1528580 Here is a news video story about what happened but puts it into a larger context as well as provides animation -- tastefully pixilated -- of related events (motorboating?!?); see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iGkAJa2lmc I now await the creative and imaginative uses that teachers will find for this feature. -Mike Palij New York University [email protected] P.S.
