The Department of Psychology at Dickinson College invites applications for a 
tenure-track Assistant Professor in Cultural or Cross-Cultural Psychology 
beginning Fall 2015. Area of specialty is open, but we are particularly 
interested in candidates whose research takes a global perspective on: physical 
or mental health, personality, development, neuropsychology or neuroscience, 
sustainability, or industrial/organizational psychology.  The successful 
candidate will teach, on a rotating basis, three cross-cultural courses in the 
psychology department (Introduction to Cross-Cultural Psychology, Research 
Methods in Cross-Cultural Psychology, and Seminar in Cross-Cultural Psychology 
(in the candidate's area of expertise)), Analysis of Psychological Data 
(statistics), and a First Year Seminar.  Teaching load is five courses per year.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology by the time of the appointment.  We 
expect a strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts environment and the 
ability to involve undergraduates in research.  Our largest classes have a 
capacity of 35 students. The ability to create inclusive learning environments 
for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of 
the successful candidate.
Dickinson College is a highly selective four-year, independent liberal arts 
college with 2300 students.  It is located 20 minutes west of Harrisburg, PA, 
and is a two-hour drive from Baltimore, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. The
