An article in "Nature Reviews Neuroscience" reviews some of the
"neurononsense" that is still being propagated though this is
basically an essay and not an empirical research report (and
a somewhat imprecise one at that, for example, what grade
levels do the teachers teach that are reported in Table 1?).

One of the questions asked in the quoted survey of teachers across five
countries is "We mostly only use 10% of our brain."  There
is bad news and good news:

Bad news: China is tops with 59% of teachers agreeing with the statement.

Good news. The US was not included in the survey. ;-)
