The Department of Psychology at the University of Northern Iowa invites
applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in clinical
psychology beginning August 2015. The area of specialization is open. A
scientific/empirical approach to clinical psychology is essential to ensure
compatibility with the Department’s training model. Primary
responsibilities include teaching and supervising undergraduate and
graduate students (including theses and clinical work), establishing an
active program of research that includes student involvement, and service
to the department, university, and field. A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
from an APA-accredited program is preferred, although applicants from
Counseling Psychology programs with training and expertise in
psychoeducational and personality assessment techniques will be
considered.  ABDs with evidence of degree completion by August 2015 will
also be considered.

The Department of Psychology is located in the College of Social and
Behavioral Sciences, and consists of 19 Ph.D.-level faculty members
representing all major areas of psychology. The Department enrolls
approximately 450 undergraduate students, contributes to the
university-wide General Education academic curriculum, and offers a
Master’s degree program for approximately 20 graduate students with
emphases in Clinical Science and Social Psychology, as well as an
