Philip Dunwoody and Mark McKellop at Juniata Collegehave been developing a
discipline specific measure of critical thinking inpsychology, the
Psychological Critical Thinking Inventory (PCTI), forassessment purposes.
Currently, we show significant differences in PCTI scoreswhen comparing
freshmen in Introducation to Psychology to seniors in a PsychologyCapstone
course and significant pre-post changes in students enrolled in  Research
Methods courses. We would greatlyappreciate your participation so that we can
also have a Subject Matter Expertcomparison group. If you have a PhD in
Psychology or Neuroscience, pleaseconsider clicking on the link below to help
us validate our new measure.Participation should take 30-45 minutes and
involves answering 20 forced-choiceitems, plus a short list of demographic
questions. The research has beenapproved by the Juniata IRB. If you are
interested in using the PCTI pleasecontact the Primary Investigator at
[email protected]. Thank you in advancefor your participation.
