Thanks for this Gary.  I agree that I need to put more info in the exercise 
about the loss of significance idea.  Also, I want the last slide with the 
essay question on it to be the place where students would be challenged to 
apply terms that I think every student learns about in intro psych during the 
course of the semester. But maybe there’s not enough guidance there either.  I 
want students to realize that what they’ve learned in Intro applies to some 
very important societal issues. Still “noodling” on this exercise.
