I have had my Series 2, 80 hour Tivo for about 18 months. I
absolutely love it, but find that I am having to delete shows that I
have not had a chance to watch yet in order to make room for new
shows. I tend to use the Medium quality setting, but find that some
shows are really horrible at that setting.
I am aware that you can upgrade the Tivo, but since I have a lifetime
subscription, I am concerned that the upgrade might kill the machine
(short term or long term), and I could not live without my Tivo. (yes,
I'm addicted)
My question is this: Is upgrading the Tivo a real problem, or am I
being too cautious? Would you suggest that I buy a used Tivo off eBay
and upgrade that one, so that I don't put my current Tivo in harm's
way?
Opinions?
