If you have a voicemail light, then it is probably a digital phone system that can signal the phone for more than just calls. Connecting analog devices to a digital phone system can do nothing at all - or it can damage the device. It depends on the phone system and the current on the line. TiVo's with 7.2 or higher software can do their Guided Setup using a network adapter. However, since 7.2 came out a couple of months ago and a lot of the HW in the retail change will still have pre-7.2 software. However, even with pre-7.2 you can do guided setup using wired Ethernet. Use ,#401 as the dialing prefix and it will try a wired adapter. -MZ -- <URL:mailto:megazoneatmegazone.org> Gweep, Discordian, Author, Engineer, me.
