It should get those same channels. Run the coax into the Tivo then back to the TV.

Question: I'm trying to set my parents up with TIVO for Christmas. They have basic cable (maybe 30 or so channels), but no cable box. The coax goes directly into the TV, and I assume the "cable-ready" capability of the TV handles those channels. In bringing TIVO into their setup, will TIVO get those same 30 channels or does it need the cable box for that? Thanks for any help on this!
