From: jamesrob328i > My questions: > 1. Any idea what the "additional content" might be? HD content thru DirecTV is very lacking and most that I know cancel the HD package after a short time. If you do get it make very sure you get the MPEG-4 receiver else wait for that. >3. What will I lose by going from TiVo to DirecTV DVR? I have them all. I have a Philips DirecTiVo 704, DirecTV DirecTivo R-10 and the newest DirecTV Plus non Tivo R-15. You wont lose anything really except the TiVo names for things. Season Passes are now called "Series Links", the wishlist is now called "Find By" but is not quite as advanced, The guide is more standardized now and just like most other DirecTV receivers plus it works fast, etc.... The R-15 has only been out about 6 weeks now and still has a few bugs to work out. Its still very usable after the 12/26 109a update. Some might say a lot of bad about it but most of that was BEFORE the update last week. It does have neat things like a picture in the guide and other menus so your not sitting in silence, cool interactive channels (weather, lottery, news, sports, etc...), and no "please wait" screens to be found anywhere. I am really glad I got one as now I have the best of both worlds. This is a TiVo group so I don't want to go on to much but if I had to just pick one, I would probably go with the new R-15. Its not without flaws but I think after the next update they will have been fixed. Rich
