Two questions... One about way Tivo downloads "custom" channels programming
and second renaming TivoToGo files.
I have a RE/MAX business channel (my company's channel) on Dish for which
TiVo doesn't download the names of the shows - only 30 minutes blocks with
"BTV" as title - business television. The shows run 30-60 minutes,
sometimes, 2 hours and sometimes 90 min and live events 3 hours, so I have
to manually program them :o(
However, I can see the names of the shows in Dish Guide though, so
apparently, TiVo doesn't get assess to this private channel? I had to call
my corporate office and ask them to activate it for me. I have this channel
as my favorite and in the list of channels received, so Tivo should be able
to get it if it's available.
Any ideas on this? I contacted my corporate office several days ago and they
were checking on it. I have a feeling that Tivo doesn't have access to ALL
data that DISH sends out? Dos Tivo get data directly from Dish or from this
Tribune Media Services?
Also, these shows when I record them have only "BTV" in the title and the
date recorded. They are filed in one folder on Tivo. When I download them
via TivoToGo to my laptop the same thing happens. I tired to change the name
of the shows by renaming them but they don't change, however when you play
them you can see the new name.
Any ideas if it's possible to change the name?
