If anyone is with Dish Network, can you guys clue me in on this "inactivity"
period and reminders? I am confused.
Tech support tells me that if there is no activity on Dish Receiver for 4
hours then the system falls asleep and the Dish Logo runs across the screen
- this is what I have been seeing recently.
I have shows recording at different times of the day and night and sometimes
longer than 4 hours in-between, so if Dish falls asleep in 4 hrs of
inactivity my TiVo cannot record - it'll record the logo :o( only.
They tell me to set up a reminder timer , but logistically this makes no
sense as recordings take place at all different times of the day. Will the
reminder wake up the receiver when it is asleep? I checked the settings for
the reminder, it looks like you have to set up a channel for it, but if Tivo
is recording something at this time, it will not switch back to that
channel?
I am really confused by this :o( Any help?
