No. And when you get a second one (and you will...) it's only $6.99 for the 2nd
and beyond...)
...unless you're making long-distance calls to connect though! Check what number it's
dialing and make sure it's local.

Roughly nightly, but it'll download about 2 weeks of data so it can go a little while
without connectiing, but if something changes in the guide it won't know.
If you have broadband internet, switch Tivo to use that! No phone line needed then,
and it'll update more often so things like online scheduling will happen quicker.
