Only the integrated DirecTiVos work natively with DirecTV with the cards. Standalone TiVos would require that you have a separate DirecTV receiver that it would control, in the same way they can control a cable box. The problem is all the DirecTiVos require a landline - none of them will allow you to set them up without one. Unless you manage to find one that has been hacked to support networking - networking is disabled on all standard boxes.
