Not knowing much about the cards, I would say it would NOT interfere. I set up
the wifi, and don't even have cable cards.

See, the thing that's scaring me is that they just set everything up with the
two CableCards, so I'm afraid that if I went through
Guided Setup again and changed the WEP setting from the keys to the PassPhrase,
it might throw off the pairing of the CableCards,
which only Charter can redo. He was here for two hours just doing that. (He
said it was his first time doing the Cards.) But the
TiVo setup said that the Cards install was a 'Success'.

So would this WEP setting intervene with the cablecards?

(Charter just called and said he's on his way).

When I set up my inlaws S2 on a wifi, it was set up as WEP, and the 'keys'
wouldn't work, but I typed in the passphrase, and that
worked. Could be all it is.

OK, so I must have answered that question correctly, so that's not the
problem. The only other thing is when asked the question in
Guided Setup for Network Password; I used the WEP number because Charter
originally did so I thought I should stick with it. But
maybe by 'Password' they meant the Pass Phrase, which is different in my
records. This is for the wireless Linksys router. could it
make all this difference?

Charter is coming out again this afternoon to see what the problem is, so I
would like to be able to understand this before they ask
me and I don't know what to tell them.Because sometimes they seem to rely
heavily on what I tell them to come to some conclusions.

Thanks.

A TV antenna - the classic rabbit ears or an HDTV antenna - connected
to the antenna 'in' jack on the TiVo.

No.

Absolutely not.
